We are dealing with very uncertain times, not just nationally, but globally. In times like these, it’s important we come together to support our families, friends, employees, customers, and partners. EchoStor Technologies has taken the necessary precautions to keep our staff safe during the COVID 19 pandemic. Our workforce has been enabled to work remotely and our offices will be closed until at least March 31st. We have also postponed all in-person events and will reschedule or convert them into virtual events. This situation will continue to evolve and you can find any news updates on our website: www.echstor.com/news.
As of Monday evening, ServiceNow has committed to nearly 100% uptime of their platform, and they have also released four applications to assist customer and partner organizations as they navigate these unchartered waters. The applications are free for all organizations globally and are not just specific to organizations that already own the platform. These applications will be supported by ServiceNow at no charge through September 30, 2020.
- Emergency Response Operations: Initially created by the Washington State Department of Health, this ServiceNow workflow helps state and local government agencies to optimize their resources in critical locations during emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic or other events. This workflow automates the role assignment and resource activation during the incident planning process.
- Emergency Outreach: during a crisis, this workflow leverages the Now Platform to help companies connect with employees to assess the impact. Employers can reach out by email to provide information and safety measures and request a response to confirm if employees are safe and where they are located. Employers can also leverage the ServiceNow Now Mobile App to send push notifications to employees via mobile to get a response.
- Emergency Self Report: this workflow helps an employee notify their employer that they are self‑quarantined and when the employee will return to work and provides workflow support for the employer.
- Emergency Exposure Management: when a company becomes aware that its employee is diagnosed with an illness, this workflow helps the employer identify other people who might have been exposed based on the employee’s meetings history and job location.
Official application release statement:
If you need help leveraging these new applications, ServiceNow has released a how-to video to assist organizations in getting these applications up and running as quickly as possible.
ServiceNow Knowledge will be moving to 100% remote. All conference passes that have been purchased will be refunded in full. They will also be opening up the ability for anyone to join the remote conference at no charge.
