JOB SUMMARY

EchoStor Technologies LLC is seeking an experienced Unified Communications & Collaboration (UC&C) Engineer to serve as a Delivery Lead within our Professional Services practice. This role combines deep technical expertise in enterprise collaboration platforms with the ability to lead client engagements end-to-end — from discovery and design through implementation, migration, and knowledge transfer.

As a Delivery Lead, you will be the primary technical authority on UC&C engagements, responsible for leading client-facing discussions, presenting solution designs, driving project execution, and ensuring successful outcomes. You will work closely with sales, project management, and engineering peers to scope, plan, and deliver high-quality professional services engagements.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role suited for a senior engineer who thrives in client-facing environments, can translate complex technical concepts into business value, and takes ownership of delivery quality.

Core Responsibilities

Engagement Delivery & Technical Leadership

Serve as the technical lead and primary point of contact for UC&C professional services engagements from kickoff through project close-out
Lead discovery workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and design reviews with client stakeholders including IT leadership and network/voice teams
Develop and present solution architectures, low-level designs, migration strategies, and implementation plans to both technical and non-technical audiences
Execute hands-on implementation, configuration, migration, and troubleshooting of UC&C platforms across client environments
Own delivery quality — ensure all work meets EchoStor standards and aligns with the approved Statement of Work (SOW) scope, timeline, and success criteria
Develop and maintain project runbooks, test plans, cutover checklists, and rollback procedures for each engagement
Conduct post-implementation knowledge transfer sessions and produce as-built documentation for client operations teams

Pre-Sales & Scoping Support

Partner with the sales team during opportunity qualification to assess technical requirements, level of effort, and feasibility
Contribute to SOW development by providing technical scope definition, task breakdowns, and LOE estimates
Participate in client-facing pre-sales calls and presentations to demonstrate EchoStor’s UC&C capabilities and build technical credibility
Identify upsell and expansion opportunities during active engagements and communicate them to the account team

Practice Development & Continuous Improvement

Contribute to the development and refinement of repeatable delivery frameworks, templates, and best practices for UC&C engagements
Stay current on vendor roadmaps, product updates, and industry trends across Cisco, Microsoft, and other collaboration ecosystems
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contractors assigned to UC&C projects
Provide input on tooling, automation, and process improvements that increase delivery efficiency and consistency

Required Technical Competencies

Cisco Collaboration (Primary)

Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) — deployment, administration, dial plan design, partitions/CSS, device provisioning, and upgrades
Cisco Unity Connection — voicemail configuration, call handler design, integration with CUCM
Cisco Expressway / VCS — Mobile & Remote Access (MRA), B2B video calling, traversal zone configuration
Cisco Webex (Cloud & Hybrid) — Webex Calling, Webex Meetings, Control Hub administration, hybrid services (calendar, directory, calling)
Cisco Contact Center — UCCX and/or UCCE fundamentals; configuration, scripting, and reporting
SIP Trunking — CUBE configuration, SIP trunk design, codec negotiation, oice gateway management
Cisco Emergency Responder (CER), IM & Presence, and Paging integration

Microsoft Collaboration

Microsoft Teams Voice — Direct Routing, Operator Connect, Calling Plans, auto-attendants, call queues, and Teams Phone System administration
Microsoft Teams Rooms — deployment, management, and troubleshooting of MTR systems
Teams interoperability — integration with Cisco environments, SBC configuration, and hybrid/coexistence scenarios

Broader UC&C & Infrastructure

Session Border Controllers (SBCs) — AudioCodes, Ribbon/Sonus, Oracle, or equivalent platforms
VoIP/SIP fundamentals — protocol-level troubleshooting, oice quality analysis (MOS, jitter, latency, packet loss), oice VLAN design
Network infrastructure as it relates to UC — QoS policy design, DHCP/TFTP dependencies, DNS, firewall rules for oice/video traffic
Video conferencing platforms — Cisco TMS, Webex Devices, Poly/HP, Zoom Rooms
Migration experience — PBX-to-UCaaS migrations, Cisco-to-Teams migrations, legacy system decommissioning, number porting coordination

Qualifications

Required

8+ years of hands-on experience in unified communications and collaboration engineering
Demonstrated experience leading client-facing professional services engagements as a delivery lead or senior/lead engineer
Deep expertise in Cisco collaboration platforms (CUCM, Unity, Expressway, Webex) with enterprise-scale deployment experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams Voice and Direct Routing
Strong understanding of SIP, oice oer IP protocols, oice gateway configuration, and oice quality optimization
Experience developing solution designs, migration plans, and technical documentation for enterprise clients
Excellent communication and presentation skills — comfortable leading whiteboard sessions, design reviews, and executive briefings
Self-directed and able to manage competing priorities across multiple concurrent engagements
Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate client maintenance windows as needed

Preferred

Cisco certifications: CCNP Collaboration or CCIE Collaboration (active or expired within 3 years)
Microsoft certifications: MS-700 (Teams Administrator) or equivalent
Experience with Cisco Contact Center (UCCX/UCCE) or cloud contact center platforms (Webex Contact Center, Five9, Genesys, NICE)
Familiarity with network automation tools, scripting (Python, PowerShell), or API-driven UC provisioning
Prior experience working within a VAR, MSP, or systems integrator professional services organization
Experience with PSA or project management tooling (Salesforce-based PSA, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar)
