ServiceNow Consultant – ITOM

Position Description:

As a ServiceNow Consultant for ITOM on EchoStor’s Professional Services team, you will work alongside some of the most talented and knowledgeable IT minds in the Northeast to deliver world-class solutions to our customers. This multidimensional role will consist of advising customers on business process, ITIL and infrastructure best practices, architecting the ServiceNow ITOM platform to suit the customers’ needs, and assisting in the configuration/implementation of the platform.


 Opportunities and Responsibilities:

  • Lead ITOM workshops with customers
  • Advise customers on ServiceNow ITOM best practices
  • Guide customer configuration/implementations of the ServiceNow ITOM Platform
  • Assist in defining customer technical requirements and prerequisites
  • Collaborate with team to share technical expertise, best practices and industry knowledge
  • Provide documentation and updates to project managers and customers
  • Proactively maintain and improve technical skills
  • Contribute to thought leadership within EchoStor
  • Provide mentorship to delivery colleagues

 What we are looking for:

  • Knowledge of Operating Systems – Linux/UNIX/Windows/VMware
  • Effective troubleshooting skills across datacenter infrastructure components – Network, Operating Systems, SAN, Virtualization
  • Ability to think analytically about problems and derive conclusions through research
  • Familiarity with systems monitoring, log investigation, and application awareness
  • Familiarity with user administration, Active Directory, LDAP, etc and the ability to troubleshoot areas of user access
  • Excellent communication skills to provide timely updates on any and all issues, projects, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with datacenter hardware – servers, network appliances, backup hardware, etc.
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Familiarity with server volume managers and storage configuration
  • Knowledge of system patching mechanics with regards to the various operating systems.
  • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow Platform and Services
  • Deep knowledge in ServiceNow ITOM portfolio
  • Experience deploying ServiceNow Discovery Application
  • Experience in troubleshooting ServiceNow Discovery
  • Experience with REST and SOAP web services
  • Experience with scripting using Javascript
  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification (Preferred)
  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification (Preferred)
