Financial Operations Specialist

Job Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks.

Financial Operations Specialist responsibilities include keeping financial records updated and preparing reports. You will also run accounting software programs (e.g., Quickbooks and NetSuite) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department: including processing customer orders and invoices.
• Accurately, prepare and maintain, accounting documents and records through data entry into the accounting database, including vendor bills and credit card expenses.
• Prepare bank deposits.
• Reconcile accounts receivable, including resolving invoice discrepancies and collection calls.
• Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
• Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas.
• Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
• Constantly update job knowledge
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting platform, NetSuite.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• Proven accounting experience, preferably as in Accounts Receivables and Account Payables
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
• Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software, Quickbooks and NetSuite experience required.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Data entry, power point and word processing skills
• Well organized
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
